Get your mani/pedi before your spray. Make sure you wash off any oils or lotions they put on you.

Wax, shave and/or pluck 24 hours prior to spray tanning. Doing these too close to your spray tan session may cause the solution to get caught in your pores.

The SKJ DRY MITT is specifically designed for the best pre-tan exfoliation.

When the SKJ DRY MITT comes into contact with wet skin, the friction activates the exfoliation process. As you scrub, the mitt will gradually become wet and continue to exfoliate.

We recommend exfoliating at least 12-24 hours before sunless tanning for the best results.

For best results, drink plenty of water & put on a lightweight moisturizer (no oils!) at least an hour before spraying. This will help nourish and prime the skin so the solution can penetrate evenly.

During your spray tan you can wear a bathing suit, underwear and/or bra or go nude. You will have tan lines reflecting whatever you wear.

Once you are ready to shower it is important to NOT use a heavy soap because the residue could strip and fade the tan unevenly. We always suggest a thorough rinse and only soap in the necessary areas.

Moisturize right when you get out of the shower. Use a nice thick moisturizer that doesn’t contain any heavy oils. We really like Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Works great!

Drink plenty of water. Although it doesn’t seem necessary when spray tanning it is so important to keep your skin hydrated. This will ensure a longer tan that will fade evenly.

Use any SKJ products to maintain your spray tan for the longest wear possible. We love DROPS, TRAVEL, and GLOW.

After your spray tan wear something loose, light and dark in color. Sandals or slides are highly recommended.
